  i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

  its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

  Chris Thornberg, a founding partner of Beacon economies states the higher minimum

  wage does not reduce poverty. Does it reduce homelessness, no. Does it get more at-risk

  inner -city youth to work,no. So why are we doing it?

  He gave two reasons why California faces a bigger gap today between wages and cost of

  living. In recent decades, Calif. lost tens of thousands of well-paying manufacturing jobs

  to other states, nations and innovation. At the same time, Calif. has excelled at creating high-paying,

  high-skilled jobs in the technology and digital sectors, and lots of low-paying jobs.

  I may add, my father moved to California in 1959, to get a better job and to earn more to feed

  his family of 7. I'm sorry, if my family is one pay check away from being homeless I think I would

  look else where.

  We have people every day risking their lives crossing the borders for that reason.

  could you live above poverty on $15.00 per hour in your state?

  Some economist suggest that the minimum wage imposes a wage floor that

  prices cheap labor out of the market, reducing the pool of low-wage jobs.

  Daniel Mitchell of the Cato institute a libertarian think tank, suggests that

  "businesses are not charities and that they only create jobs when they think

  a worker will generate net revenue". Sound like the WT...

  If an employer needs someone to perform odd jobs, and he values the work

  at $8.00 per hour, he will not hire a person if the minimum wage is $15.00 per

  hour, thus keeping unemployment in low-wage brackets higher than it would

  otherwise be.

  die soon, we hope". At the doors, (JW's) we are praying for your destruction, your children's,

  your neighbors, hell everybody except JW's...You must go before Jehovah usher in the paradise

  California, $24.000 for a family of four is the poverty line, so $15.00 an hour

  is not that bad. But I can't see people living on that.

  average $8.00. Eve Montes in California pick grapes for $9.50 an hour and she

  can't make enough to feed her family. Montes is part of a growing economic problem

  in Calif. low-wage workers are getting poorer.

  My question, why not move? A minimum wage of $8.00 would go a lot further in Arkansas then

  California. If $15.00 minimum wage is passed here it California, in 2-5 years it will be same for

  those folks. That gap will never close.

  For you folks that live in another country, what are the minimum wage in your area, and has

  the gap widen today.

  Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?

  i wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.

  could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?

  perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

  So there is a slow decline of religion across the board here in the US...
